I've been home from hospital for about 4 days now and I'm not cop
ing very well! Rest and recuperation is not easy for me. Even though I'm in pain, it is hard to go from doing 12 hours a week training to nothing. And with an Ironman on the horizon it makes it even worse!
Now I'm not saying that I'm going to jump back into training straight away, but it is hard. I think it's time to suck it up, rest well, be disciplined and just wait until my body is ready to get back into some sort of semi-organised training.
Train smart all!

Get better soon Frank. Try and imagine that you are a pro and this is an opportunity to get in quality recovery time. Any films you've wanting to watch? Books you've been meaning to reading? You could even do mental prep for IMA. It might not be exciting but it is a chance to get rid of any over use niggles before you restart fresh.
Stop whingeing and enjoy it.
I spent my post-vasectomy recovery doing research into different training methods and nutrition.
Use it to your advantage; you can't change the fact that it's happened so try and turn a negative into a positive.
Heal well buddy.
Yeah, he'll have to imagine that one Debs LOL. Don't mention the V word Mick urrrgh. I've had enough surgical action close those bits already thanks.
