I've not blogged for about 10 days or so, which is a long time for me I guess, I try to blog every 3 or 4 days just out of habit, but I've been away with work so was not able to keep you all updated.
Anyway, I had 4 days in Toulouse last week with work; this normally coincides with an easy training week as it is almost impossible to get out and train whilst in Toulouse. The work is pretty hectic when we're out there and for some strange reason, all hotels in Toulouse are gym-less. What's all that about? I guess they think that all visitors to Toulouse are either students or work in the aerospace industry and have no need for exercise! Wrong!
Training is starting to pick up now, I'm getting out on the road a bit more now and starting to feel (a little) stronger after each session. My long runs are up to 1hr45 now, which is about 13 miles whilst sitting on approximately 140bpm, happy with that for this time of year. I'm hoping to drop my IM run time by 15 mins (or more) this year, which I think is a realistic goal.
Don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight/tomorrow morning! This extra hour now means I can get out out on the bike after work for an hour or so; and it only gets better from now on. I love it when it is still light at 9pm! Train smart all.
