
I had a great weekend in York this past Bank Holiday weekend, my wife and I met up with some friends of ours and we had a great time. We had 3 nights where we over indulged in some really nice food and plenty of beer, a good blow out before the final run in to my Ironman in July. The only downside to the weekend was the fact that my mate is a big Middlesborough fan and unfortunately they were relegated to the Championship, no more nice trips to Anfield or Old Trafford for the Boro fans!
Tomorrow is a big training day, a bit of a mini race rehersal if you like. A swim session first thing in the morning, a 90 minute break, then a 5 hour bike ride in rolling hills, another 90 minute break and then an hour's run. Easy, eh? All this will be done using my Ironman bike set-up and using my Iroman race nutrition strategy. It sounds like a massive day - I'll let you know how it goes!
