My 12 day swim challenge is over! I managed to swim 10 days out of the 12, which I'm really pleased with. With a work/life balance and the logistics of getting to the pool everyday for nearly 2 weeks, it's a challenge in itself. My swimming has improved vastly over the last few weeks, but that's not particularly difficult as I had ditched swimming for nearly 3 months post Ironman and whilst I was training for the Cardiff half marathon.
Time wise, I am about 2 months of where I was last season, so that gives me a good boost going into the New Year, particularly as I'm still uncertain of what triathlon distance I will be racing next year. Train smart all!

Well done, especially as you had all the poor weather to battle through as well.
To keep the momentum up go check out that website :-) www.winterswim.co.uk you have till 26 December to log a 400 time and then you can join in, the next window will be for a timed 200 m I think ... is just a bit of fun but it does encourage you to stay in the water.
I just swim now for pleasure, and have really enjoyed mixing it up and swimming IMs, interestingly my splits are as good as they've ever been on a lot less and certainly no 3k plus sessions grinding up and down to a stopwatch!
I joined the Winter Swim challenge. Missed the 50m and 100m entries but will enter a 200m time. I hit a 2:40 6 weeks ago but doubt I can do that now.
Nice work young Sags!
Must look into this, sounds good!
Ooo, lovely EVF in that swim picture Frank. That's how I imagine my stroke. Imagine I said!
