Time flies!

It’s been about a week and a half since my last blog, so what’s been going on? Mainly work and training if I’m honest. I’m finally over this bug/virus thing, so have been throwing myself back into training.

I have the Lionheart 100 mile sportive at Longleat this weekend (yes, I’ve never done a sportive) and that could be a real test for me. I’ve not done many road miles this year (really, I haven’t) so 100 miles with competitive lycra glad roadies could be fun! There are 4 or 5 of us going, so it should be a good laugh. We plan to stick together, however I’m sure that’ll soon go out the window (like when we hit the first hill and I get spat out the back!).

I’ve also decided to get my TT lid (aero helmet to the uninitiated) customised. I had a meeting with Chris from Performance Race Art (@Chris_PRA on twitter) this week to discuss designs and I have total faith that Chris will produce an amazing product. I’ve seen some of the bikes and race helmets he’s done (including Valentino Rossi’s) and they look simply awesome! I’m really looking forward to seeing how my design turns out, watch this space for updates!

CUSTOMISED HELMET!! I like the sound of that! Does it cost silly money or could I sneak it past my OIC finances?!!

You get what you pay for Mal. If you want a bespoke design, one that no one has got, one that is exactly what you're after, then it'll cost a few quid. Give Chris at PRA a call and see what he can do for you (tell him "Mark" from the RAF sent you).
