Well, I've been away with work a lot over the last 2 weeks. I've just returned from 2 one week trips to Toulouse, which sounds quite cool, but it's not great for the training and the healthy eating goes out of the window! I usually plan a recovery week for when I am away in France, but 2 weeks is a little much. Anyway, I'm home now and can get back to some real training!
I did the Cardiff ParkRun this morning. I took my mountain bike and cycled to the race (about 30 minutes away), this was essentially my warm up. I've not had a great few weeks of training, so was really unsure how the race was going to go. It was damp and there was some drizzle in the air, which meant it was quite cool, perfect conditions really. I set off a little bit quick but managed to hold on for a time of 18:09, pretty pleased with that, particularly as I've not done any real speed work. That's my second fastest 5k time, with my PB being 17:56. A gentle cycle home for 30 minutes allowed me to cool down and stretch off nicely, a perfect morning really! Train smart all!

That's excellent buddy, well done.
You mean you bailed out on the chance of an eye balls out brick session?! Tut tut. . . .
LOL! That wasn't on my program!
