I've just returned from a work trip to France, which coincided nicely with my easy week of training. My trips to Toulouse are pretty intense, plenty of travelling, loads of meetings and the obligatory socialising in the evenings, which makes for a nice break from training but can also be very tiring too.
I did manage a swim before heading out on Monday morning and also a quick 40 minute fartlek session in a local park on Tuesday, but apart from that I've been taking it easy this week with only some light stretching and some easy bodyweight exercises. I'll get out today for an easy hour on the bike today, just spin my legs out after flying back last night and will get a run in tomorrow (either a 90 minute easy run or a treadmill test session) and an easy base building bike ride on Sunday.
So what else is happening this weekend? Well, the big event for me is Wales V France tonight at the Stade de France. This is the first time a 6 Nations match has been held on a Friday night and with Wales winning the first 2 games of the 6 Nations this would be a good opportunity for us to put our mark on the championship and perhaps, just perhaps, go on to win the 6 Nations for 2 consecutive years! Come on Wales!

Whoops!
6 Nations championship is still on, just need to get past Italy and then the crunch game with Ireland. What could go wrong? :-)
