
I've been back on the turbo and cross trainer for the last few days and all seems good so far. I'm going to take my trainers down to Weymouth and try a short run and see how it feels. Hopefully all will be well and then I can start some proper run training. Train smart all!

If it's any consolation, the year Paula Newby-Fraser did her best time in Kona (8:55) she had an injury that meant she could only start serious run training 3 weeks before the race ;-) Just do more low-impact training I guess.

Yeah, but she had about 15 years of solid base behind her!!! :-)
Weymouth was good, got out for a little run along the coast path and felt ok. Time to step it up slowly from here on in.
