Busy training

It's about 7 weeks until Ironman Austria and the training is starting to heat up now, bigger training weeks leading to, hopefully, a successful race.

This week I've managed so far 3 swims, 1 weights session, 2 bikes (one long and one short) and 3 runs taking me up to about 8 hours. Tomorrow is an optional swim (or day off), with Saturday being a longer run (1hr45) and Sunday being 4.5-5 hour bike ride followed by a 20 min transition run. This should take this weeks training total to about 14 hours, my biggest week so far! Next week is a rest week (thank God!), but I will be taking part in a mid-week sprint tri just to blow out the cobwebs (and meet a few old tri friends too). Train smart bloggers!

Well done Frank. It's easy to forget that you have recently had quite a major op. You are a fine example of how to overcome a set back! i need to take note!

Thanks Sags.

Turbo, doubt that my friend, got a big few days ahead of me, so am going to train straight through the Brize race. Should be fun though!
