Great race & a great weekend was had in west Wales with Team Whittle. The duathlon went well, I managed to go a few minutes quicker than last year (with the first 2 guys going a few minutes slower than they did last year) and managed to sneak into 9th position. OK, it was a local race and there wasn't the same level of competition there as in previous years, but I'll take it! I'm also quite pleased as it was my first outing on the road on my TT bike this year and all of last week I was in Toulouse with work, so it wasn't ideal preparation. I've got another couple of duathlon's next month and another one in early May and then it's the start of the triathlon season; it comes round so quickly these days. Train smart all!
The is the triathlon blog of Mark "Frank" Whittle. I'm a triathlete with multiple Ironman finishes and a GB age grouper, having raced in Finland in the European Long Distance Championships. Hope you enjoy my blog.
