The Open University has a lot to answer for! I have been enrolled on an Open University (OU) course by my employers, as part of my new job and I have to be honest, it's taking up quite a lot of my time. I knew it would be very time consuming, but I didn't realise just how much. I have to start another assignment very soon (this weekend probably), when it only feels like yesterday I handed in my last one! Don't worry, I'm not after sympathy from you guys (good! cos you're not going to get it, I hear you cry!), I'm just realising how much more time efficient I have to be.
Talking about being time efficient, triathlon training! Yes, I'm still training, I managed just over 14 hours last week and hope to do the same this week, fingers crossed. Things are starting to fall into place regarding my A race in Finland next month, the entry fee has been paid (£190) as has my flights and accommodation (another £450), I didn't realise representing your country would be so expensive!
So, if you know any kind hearted business people who might want to sponsor a GB athlete to the European Long Distance Triathlon Championships, send them my way! Train smart all!

I spent many years doing OU chap. No way could I do Triathlon and OU! It is just so time consuming! Throw some kids in the mix and it is even worse! Tell me it is a 30 point course dude?
30 pointer, of course!!!!
I don't know how people manage work, family, OU (or any academic study) and competing in sport at any level. I reckon I can just about manage 2 of those!
Best of luck for OU and representing Team GB. I can sapre you 5p if that's any help? I found it down the back of the sofa so probably wouldn't miss it! :-)
Thanks T-Man, but on your wage you can afford a little bit more than 5p surely???? :-)
