I've been quite quiet on the blog for the last 2 weeks, unfortunately work and other distractions have got in the way, but (hopefully) I'm back in the groove now.
So what's been happening, I've managed to get in a few ParkRun's, one very disappointing as I went into it very tired and decided to try to race it, so came away with a not so great time (18:25), whilst the other one was yesterday where I ran it as a controlled tempo run as part of a larger session (I went round in 19:37, then went on for another 35mins or so after the race).
I've been enjoying the bike track work too, but think it may be tiring me out for my running sessions (the focus at the moment), so I need to switch things around so the running sessions are still quality whilst ticking over with the faster stuff on the bike. I've managed to get out on the bike too for a few longer rides with the lads, in fact I'm off out for 3-4 hours after I finish this blog post.
Swimming has been not existent at the moment, I was planning on swimming once a week and I must get back into that as I want to keep an element of swim fitness throughout the year.
I'm on a course all next week, so juggling the course, family, travel and training might be an issue, but I'm sure it's not going to be too much of an issue. Anyway guys, train & race smart!
